‘The Last Time to See Me Before I Die’ is coming to Groningen’s Oosterpoort in July of 2022
John Cleese will be gracing the Northern Netherlands with his irascible style next year, with his show ‘The Last Time to See Me Before I Die’ playing at the Oosterpoort in Groningen on July 6, 2022. Perhaps better titled ‘One Last Cash-In’, the former Monty Python star will be taking to the stage, with tickets available for 75 Euros.
Cleese, 81, has promised to bring a show full of ‘hilarious anecdotes’: the presale starts on Friday 25 June, via SPOT Groningen.
Cleese became known for series such as “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” and “Fawlty Towers,” and for films such as “A Fish Called Wanda” and “The Life Of Brian.”
During his last solo show through the Netherlands in 2019, Cleese sold a total of more than 15 thousand tickets, and reviews were positive.
Unfortunately for Cleese, his later years have seen him commit to Brexit (before flouncing off to the Caribbean), and mock London for ‘no longer being English’- slightly tarnishing his popularity but perhaps proving that his Basil Fawlty character was more based on reality than one might think.
