The Groninger Internet Courant reports that the offshore wind park is located in the German waters of the North Sea. The Deutsche Bucht wind turbines are capable of generating enough energy for 178,000 homes.
MHI Vestas was officially founded in 2014 when Danish wind turbine company Vestas and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. merged. Maintenance staff for the wind turbines will be based at the new DHSS facilities, a logistics provider, at the Beatrixhaven.
RTV Noord writes that the Deutsche Bucht is the fourth wind park with maintenance operations based in the Eemshaven. Groningen Seaports lists the Gemini farm (150 turbines), Veja Mate (67 turbines) and Mekur Offshore (66 turbines) as other sites whose maintenance is provided from the northern Groningen harbour.
