The giant cruise ship Norwegian Bliss, part of the Norwegian Cruise Line, departed from the Meyer Werft in Papenburg on Tuesday evening and is now underway toward the Eemshaven.
Builders will put the finishing touch on the last details of the ship in the Groningen harbour. The ship, which is 334 meters long, 41.4 meters wide and will eventually be able to accommodate 4,000 passengers, will moor at the Eemshaven on Thursday morning around 6 a.m.
The ship will pass by Emden around noon on Wednesday and then continue onward to the Eemshaven. While based in the Eemshaven, Norwegian Bliss will conduct several nautical tests in the North Sea.
The German broadcaster NDR made a video of the departure of the ship.
