MartiniPlaza events centre installs three ‘Space Cannon’ laser lights to beam into night sky
Three enormous beams of light have been visible above the city of Groningen for a few days, emanating from the roof of the MartiniPlaza, reports the GIC. The giant events centre is currently in use as an XL Coronavirus test centre.
The light beams are part of a new campaign with the strapline: ‘above all: keep shining’. “Not at MartiniPlaza during an event, but you can shine in your living room, bedroom or garden,” says the centre.
The temporary light show is provided by DTL Lasertechniek from Tynaarlo. The lasers, so-called Space Cannons, can be seen up to 40 kilometers outside the city of Groningen.
The laser beams will remain visible until the new year.
