People around the world are being urged to join in the initiative and turn off their lights for an hour
This Saturday evening, the lights of various buildings in the municipality of Groningen will be switched off, including the Martini Tower. The switch off will last for an hour as part of a WWF climate campaign, reports OOGTV.
The initiative is part of ‘Earth Hour’ by the World Wildlife Fund. Since 2007, lights have been switched off on the last Saturday evening in March across the world to draw attention to our drastically worsening climate situation.
