At De Ruinen car park on the N375 near the town of Ruinerwold in Drenthe, several drivers were reportedly approached by a man who offered to let them have sex with an underage girl.

Dagblad van het Noorden reports that the man was arrested on Saturday in Steenwijk on suspicion of human trafficking. The police were able to trace the man to Steenwijk in Overijssel following an anonymous tip that included the man’s license plate number.
An underage girl was also found in his company. The police spoke with her, and she has now been taken into the custody of a care organisation.
The police are still seeking information from witnesses or anyone else whom the man approached. The police would also like to follow up with the anonymous tipster. Witnesses are asked to contact the Dutch Human Trafficking team: 0900-8844.
