A young man who sent a Haren secondary school into lockdown after allegedly entering the grounds with a replica gun has been taken into police custody.
According to Omroep OOG, staff at the Harens Lyceum alerted police on Friday afternoon after students saw the masked man on the school premises.
The threat prompted the school to evacuate.
The man, who is said to suffer from mental health issues, was apprehended by police inside the school building. It is not clear if he made any direct threats against staff or students at the school.
