Three-fourths of all available tickets for all theatrical performances during Leeuwarden’s European Capital of Culture year have been sold.
LF2018 director Oeds Westerhof announced the booming sales results during the University of Groningen’s Science Café are the Oranje Bierhuis in Leeuwarden. The sales include large, one-off productions being held throughout the Capital of Culture year.
According to the Leeuwarder Courant, the organisers are obviously hoping to eventually sell all of the remaining tickets. But Westerhof says that Friesland needs to continue to invest in cultural tourism in the province long after LF2018 ends.
