The fisherman even received a pearl necklace for his troubles, but will hand the bundle in to the police
A magnet fisherman fished up a safe-box full of jewelry in the capital of the province of Drenthe on Saturday. The exceptional find occurred on the Groene Dijk Zuidzijde in Assen, reports RTV Drenthe.
Inside the safe, the fisherman found a number of bunches of keys, rings, bracelets and chains made of silver and gold. There was also an earring, and a pearl necklace in a box.
The magnet fisherman has handed the safe to the police. He suspects that the jewelry comes from theft and is looking for people who recognize the jewelry or keys from the safe.
