Rooms will be available from about 120 euros per night
The Market Hotel on the east side of the Grote Markt will open its doors on 1 May, reports OOGTV. Run by WestCord, the Market Hotel has 123 rooms and had had its opening delayed by six months following problems with the facade.
The hotel was designed by Berlin architect Thomas Müller and developed by VolkerWessels Vastgoed. It has a large restaurant on the ground floor with two terraces, on the Grote Markt and the Nieuwe Markt. The hotel also has its own bakery, with a separate entrance on the Grote Markt. There are also wellness facilities and some meeting rooms, and a terrace with a bar on the roof.
The entrance to the hotel has been deliberately positioned in the Naberstraat, with entrances on the Grote Markt and the Nieuwe Markt to be used as the entrances to the restaurant.
