Friesland and Leeuwarden will soon have their own version of the popular board game Monopoly. A special Cultural Capital of Europe edition has been made and will be for sale at Poiesz supermarkets from 13 August.
The game will be named Monopoly Leeuwarden-Fryslân 2018 and will be available for 50 euros at all Poiesz supermarkets – not just at the 50 Frisian branches, but also at the 20 Poiesz branches in Groningen, Drenthe and Flevoland.
The most expensive property on the board is the Oldehove tower in Leeuwarden. Other properties players can obtain are the Wouda water pumping station in Lemmer, the Douwe Egberts company and the Skûtsjesilen sailing event.
