Nine people in the Province have lost their lives to Coronavirus in the last week
The GGD Groningen registered 1,612 infections of the Coronavirus in the past week, reports OOGTV. The number is 518 more than in the previous week, according to the RIVM’s weekly epidemiological situation update.
The number of infections per 100,000 people also jumped up in the last week: 275 infections were found per 100,000 people, up from 187 last week.
Nine people from Groningen died of the virus in the last seven days. In the week before there were only two.
According to the RIVM, the advance of the Coronavirus is also continuing unabated nationally. The number of contagious people in the Netherlands exceeded 100,000 people. Last week, this number remained at 90,000. The reproduction number increased from 1.24 to 1.25.
