20-year-old Kim from Winschoten is the lucky winner of 100,000 euros in the “Postcode Loterij Miljoenenjacht” game show, which was broadcast on Sunday evening.
After Kim managed to overcome another 499 candidates, she won the amount of money during the nerve-racking “Golden Suitcase Game”. Kim was invited to the studio with 49 neighbors from postcode area 9675, mostly inhabitants of Winschoten (Groningen). Paul and Nathalie from the same postcode won 25,000 euros each, and a brand new car.
Pharmacy student Kim (20) is the youngest participant of Miljoenenjacht ever. Together with her friend Arno, she took a seat in the studio. Although she actually wanted to go for a car, she eventually chose a place in the final because she had a feeling.
“I slept well, so if something happens today, then it will be a good day.” That feeling turned out to be correct: after a flashing final game, Kim chose case 21, a case that ultimately earned her 100,000 euros. “I am still studying and want to do medicine after this study. I can use the money for that. Now it appears that it is so much money, I may also want to go to Australia or America!”
Shower of prizes for Winschoten
Kim was featured in the weekly game show, shown on SBS6, with 49 neighbors from Winschoten (postcode 9675). The fate was good for the Winschoters: because Kim and her opponent in the race for a final place did not ‘press the button’, their exit amount of 25,000 euros was raffled to one of those present in the stands. Neighbour Paul was the lucky one this time: “Great! My neighbor just won a car. I thought: that is 25 centimeters short! But now I still win!”
Nathalie from Winschoten also won prizes. She won a car after fellow-villager Kim let it pass for a final place. In the end, this choice earned Kim 100,000 euros. Her neighbors and all other participants in the studio went home with Bluetooth headphones.
