Dagblad van het Noorden reports that Keane, who burst onto the scene with their debut album “Hopes and Fears” in 2004 will be joining the Hello Festival this summer in Drenthe. In 2013, the band went on hiatus, but this summer, the group, whose best known hit is ” Somewhere Only We Know”, is re-forming under the leadership of singer Tom Chaplin and will be touring various festivals around Europe.
Hello Festival organisers also announced that Dublin-born singer-songwriter Gavin James would be joining the now complete line-up. James found fame with his cover of “The Book of Love” and its follow-up album “Bitter Pill”, and will be playing on Saturday on the No Limits Stage.
Earlier on, the festival announced that Bløf, Golden Earring, Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul; Daniel Lohues, Kraantje Pappie, and Lil Kleine would also be heading to Emmen for the festival. Lenny Kravitz had previously been announced as the main attraction during the Saturday programme.
The festival will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June, at the Grote Rietplas in Emmen. Up until 2018, the Emmen festival was known as Retropop.
