The International Welcome Centre North (IWCN) has set up an online Knowledge Bank to collect reports on topics like internationalisation, diversity, and inclusion in the Netherlands. It can be used to access the most recent data, trends, and practices related to internationalisation, labour migration, and international talent attraction and retention.
Internationalisation and diversity are important for the North of the Netherlands regarding the labour market and education. The job market in Groningen for example is tight and international talent is needed to fill these gaps.
Unfortunately, statistics show that many students leave the North after graduating because they feel there aren’t any work opportunities for them here. However many, especially tech, companies thrive on internationals. It’s important that local businesses work together and keep internationals here after graduating, an area the Knowledge Bank may help with by providing the correct data.
In the Knowledge Bank, you can find reports on drivers for attracting internationals to work at a company, insights into which fields expats work in and a business climate monitor among others.
If you have any relevant reports or insights you think would be useful to add to this Knowledge Bank you can email info@iwcn.nl.
