130 pages of information about living, working, and relaxing in the Northern Netherlands
By Thomas Ansell
The International Welcome Center North is the one-stop-shop for Internationals, and the companies that employ them, in the Northern Netherlands. Each year, as part of its mission to make sure that International Northerners are as well-informed about their (new) home as possible, the IWCN produces its 130-page Welcome Guide.
As with so many things during the Coronavirus pandemic, the IWCN Welcome Guide 2021 is available online, with the full PDF available to view on the IWCN website, as well as to download, too.
The Welcome Guide really shows off the expertise of the IWCN’s staff: with sections on Formalities (Residence Permits, BSN numbers, taxes, etc), Settling In (Housing, Jobs, and day-to-day living), Social & Leisure (including what to do in the North); a list of IWCN Service Partners, and information on all of the Provinces and Municipalities in Groningen, Friesland, and Drenthe.
The Guide is complete with useful links throughout, and of course all of the information about the IWCN you could wish to know.
