The 14 year old was fatally stabbed last weekend
It is estimated that about 1500 people attended a silent march for Dinant on Wednesday evening, the fourteen year old boy who was stabbed in the Albert Heijn in Hoogkerk last weekend.
The march started at the Albert Heijn, where Dinant was stabbed to death on Sunday. The procession also passed his parental home at the Schoonerstraat, where the boy’s family was waiting. Balloons were released and torches lit. The silent march ended at the supermarket, where the fatal incident took place, reports the GIC.
Mayor Koen Schuiling and Alderman Paul de Rook were in Hoogkerk to show support for the parents of the murdered teenager. Dinant’s funeral will be private on Saturday, and can be followed online.
