The Groninger Museum’s newest exhibition is causing a spike in hotel room rentals
The Rolling Stones: Unzipped seems to be the biggest thing in Groningen since the return of Arjen Robben, and is even proving a boost to the city’s beleaguered tourist industry.
As reported by the GIC, hotels in the city of Groningen have recorded 85 percent occupancy in the last week, up from the 20-40 percent occupancy seen in October and the start of November.
It’s not just city-centre hotels that are seeing an uptick in guests, with B&B’s as far away as Zuidlaren also seeing more people arriving.
