The Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a warning for strong wind gusts in the north and west of the Netherlands on Friday, October 13.
The warning is in effect from the end of the morning until the end of the evening. Winds of up to 80-90 km/h are expected in the north-west, with gusts of up to 75-85 km/h in the west and north.
The winds could cause disruption to traffic and outdoor activities. People are advised to take precautions, such as securing loose objects and staying away from trees and other tall objects.
The KNMI says the winds are caused by a low-pressure system that is moving across the North Sea. The winds will start to die down in the evening.
