Three Hanze buildings are without water, and so cannot be used
Three Hanzehogsechool buildings: the Van Olsttoren, the Brugsmaborg and the Van Doornveste have all been emptied of people today following a large water leak. Those present had to leave the buildings because they cannot use the toilets and because fire safety could be guaranteed, as there is no water available for the sprinkler system, reprots RTV Noord.
According to a spokesperson for the Hanze University of Applied Sciences about three hundred people, including students who were busy taking an exam, had to leave the building.
The leak soaked an area of tens of square meters, and the water company has now cut off supply to the buildings. It is expected that the repair of the leak will take all afternoon.
