Groningen is ready for Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS)! The Jamr app is also ready for the largest musical event in Europe. A year after its launch, the app has grown enormously, both in terms of number of users and ease of use.
More than 700 active users make Jamr a vibrant agenda where all kinds of live music can be found. Major artists in the Oosterpoort or jazz jam sessions in a small pub, it’s all there.
Jamr x Grunnsonic
That has not gone unnoticed and that is why the organisation behind Grunnsonic, the freely accessible branch of ESNS where Groningen talent can be spotted, has sought out the partnership. Especially for this year, Grunnsonic has been given its own spot on the app. Here you can quickly find the entire programme of the showcase festival and make your own schedule through the busy musical night. Discover local talent this year via Jamr!
Other events
But of course the official program can also be found on the app, as well as several alternative showcases that are organized around the festival. For example, the entire program of Pinguin Radio in the 3 Gezusters, which is not inferior in size to ESNS itself, can also be found there. But also the small pubs such as Buckshot, Graanrepubliek or Chaplin’s Pub are in it with their programs.
Jamr
The Jamr app was conceived and designed by Huub Kuiper. When he noticed that it was becoming increasingly difficult to discover unique live shows via platforms such as Facebook, he started with the idea for an app where all live music in the city could be found. This grew into Jamr, and just before Eurosonic Noorderslag 2024 the app was launched. With its user-friendly features that allow people to quickly and easily add their own events, like favorites and also create a schedule of concerts, the app has now been downloaded 8,000 times and has over 700 active users who promote their events or come here to discover live music.
