‘Green Spirit’ will take to the streets in October at the Solar Challenge Morocco 2021
Something for the Top Dutch campaign to celebrate: students from Hanze University of Applied Sciences and University of Groningen have presented their own solar car, which will race in the The Solar Challenge Morocco 2021 in October. The car has been named ‘Green Spirit’, reports the GIC.
The solar car is being built in collaboration between local government, companies and educational institutions from the North, and is called the Top Dutch Solar Racing Team after the scandal-riven campaign to draw attention to the North.
Last week, the 23 students of Top Dutch Solar Racing presented their new solar car to the world.
With Green Spirit, Top Dutch will participate in The Solar Challenge Morocco 2021 at the end of October, in which solar teams will drive around 2400 km through the Sahara desert and the Atlas Mountains. In addition to Top Dutch Solar Racing, solar teams from Twente, Delft and Leuven will also participate in the race in Morocco.
