It’s one of five nominees
The Forum Groningen is in the running for the title “Best library in the Netherlands”, with a public vote and jury set to decide the winner (the vote will run from October 1 to November 1).
There are five libraries in the running for the so-called NDB Biblion Award. In addition to Forum Groningen, there’s the Zoetermeer Library, bblthk Wageningen, the Huis van Eemnes; and LocHal Tilburg.
The final winner will be determined by a jury of experts on November 3 once the public’s vote has been tallied. As reported by the GIC.
The Forum is praised for interweaving its bookshelves with other functions, including the Storyworld museum, various exhibitions, and the cinema. It’s also won plaudits for its events, including the Forum courses, talks, and more.
