Around 20 students from various study programmes in the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen kicked off the launch of the new Learning Community Digital Business and Entrepreneurship at the Duisenberg building at Zernike on Tuesday afternoon.

The programme is a novel way for the students to see how digital advances are incorporated at northern Dutch companies.
Students and northern Dutch businesses are readying themselves for an exploratory trip to the Berlin Hub, an interactive festival focused on digital business, as part of the new course. The trip to Berlin will also include a meeting with German colleagues at the Dutch Embassy.
In the weeks before and after the trip, students will have a range of guest lectures and seminars where they will work with their business partners. At the end of the course, the students can provide concrete advice and suggestions for their host organisations. The programme has been made possible by a collaboration between the GDBC (Groningen Digital Business Centre), Career Services at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Samenwerking Noord; and the Gemeente Groningen.
