Nightlife in the city may again be wound in
With growing numbers of Coronavirus infections in the City of Groningen, the Dutch government may add the city to a list of places that must enforce stricter Coronavirus regulations from Friday coming.
At the moment, the stronger rules only apply to areas in and around Amsterdam and Rotterdam- but the list of cities could swell to eight, reports the AD, and the GIC. The rules ban gatherings of over 50, force nightlife to close at 01:00 (with no new guests from midnight), and require local authority safety checks for events.
Prime Minister Rutte said that he will announce whether more regions in the Netherlands will go to the alarm phase “worrying”, but did not comment on which regions these could be.
