Police are looking into a home invasion robbery involving three suspects who assaulted and robbed a man in his home on the Dr. C. Hofstede de Grootkade in Groningen on Wednesday night.
The robbery took place around 10 p.m., and it remains unclear how the three men managed to get into the victim’s home is unknown. According to police, the three suspects threatened and assaulted the occupant.
The three robbers, who were reportedly armed, made off with some unknown valuables. Straight after they left, the injured victim alerted police, who immediately started an investigation.
According to police, the perpetrators are three young men of colour who were wearing dark clothing, white masks and red and/or white sneakers.
Police say the robbers fled on foot towards the Westerhaven. Residents and companies that might have camera footage of the three men are being asked to contact police.
