The province of Groningen plans to open a cultural embassy in Leeuwarden this fall.
According to Omrop Fryslân, the embassy will be a way for Groningen to contribute to the Leeuwarden-Friesland Capital of Culture 2018 year. The temporary project will feature art, culture, science and government institutions from the city and province of Groningen.
The cultural embassy will be located in Leeuwarden and will be open between mid-September and early November. The exact location of the embassy has not been confirmed. The cultural embassy was initiated by the European Capital of Culture Foundation (Stichting Culturele Hoofdstad van Europa).
