Like Bavaria, but flatter
Groningen will have an Oktoberfest for twoo weeks in October, with a huge tent to be erected on the Grote Markt on 15 and 16 October. 2000 people will be able to attend, reports the GIC.
The event had previously been organised last year, but was canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. “We received a lot of positive reactions to organising an Oktoberfest in the city center, unfortunately the first edition could not take place last year. We are hopeful that we can all have a party this year,” say the organisers.
The two-day event will see the city dominated by dirndls, lederhosen, schlager music; beer steins, bratwursten and Bavarian hospitality. Organisers are busy behind the scenes confirming artists to perform.
If (for some reason) Oktoberfest is canceled, all ticket holders will be refunded the purchase amount. Tickets can be ordered via the Oktoberfest website.
