On Saturday Groningen had its first Queer Pride Parade. Hundreds of people of all ages joined their forces to celebrate the diversity of human nature. The heart of the city was filled with joy, colorful flags, chants against discrimination.
The Queer Pride Groningen committee, formed of representatives from various activist, feminist and queer organizations and associations in and around Groningen, aims to be as inclusive as possible to different marginalised groups within the LGTBQ community.
