The annual flower market is back in Groningen this Friday. Despite grey skies and rainy weather predictions, the event promises to bring a bit of colour and a scent of spring to the city.
Over a hundred market traders will be in the centre of town offering a large selection of fresh flowers, bulbs, house plants, seeds, as well as all the tools you need to bring a bit of nature into your home.
The market stretches throughout the heart of Groningen, with stalls lined up along Oude Ebbingestraat, the Guldenstraat, the Grote Markt, the Nieuwe Markt, the Vismarkt and the A-Kerkhof.
Every year the Bloemenjaarmarkt attracts thousands of visitors, including many who make the trip across the German border to welcome spring with the largest flower market in the North. All information regarding public transportation changes and car parking can be found here.
The market will be open between 9.00 and 18.00 this Friday, March 29th.
