Groningen Airport Eelde to become first hub for electric air taxis
Electron Aviation’s planes will have a 750KM range

As reported by the GIC, there is life stirring at Groningen Airport Eelde, with the airport set to become the first operational electric air taxi hub. Electron Aviation’s small planes will offer a maximum range of 750KM, and will begin operating in 2026.
Four people will be able to fly together, and destinations will include Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Hannover; London, and Paris. Meiltje de Groot, Director at Airport Eelde, says “we’re enthusiastic about the partnership, and it brings us closer to the realization of zero-emissions flight for the public”.
