Flights are departing to Crete and Mallorca, with Las Palmas coming later in the year
Transavia has resumed its holiday flights from Groningen Airport Eelde, after air traffic came to a complete standstill during the first peak of the Coronavirus outbreak. Flights to both Crete and Mallorca have been resumed.
The first flight had 146 passengers departing from the airport, reports the GIC.
New measures are in force at the airport to prevent the virus from spreading. Lizette van Dijken, Marketing and Communication Manager, Groningen Airport Eelde says: “We are delighted that air travel from our region is possible again and that we can offer our passengers a familiar departure from our airport.”
The flights to Palma de Mallorca will resume on July 5. From September it is also possible to fly with TUI to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria.
