The University of Groningen/Campus Fryslân, are celebrating as they have just moved into the new faculty building, locally known as ‘de Beurs’. The ‘Grand Opening’ party will run from October 31 until November 2.
The opening day will feature a series of panel discussions and keynotes covering topics such as: Climate Adaptation, Migration, EU and Human Rights. At 4:15pm the official opening ceremony will commence in the central hall, and a reception will follow.
The second day of the event has already been fully booked up, with enthusiastic high school students waiting to attend the ‘Campus Fryslân Experience’.
A science festival will take place on the last day, November 2, which all are welcome to join in on! The festival will feature lectures on sustainability, behaviour, language, identity, politics, economics and much more! There are various options in both Dutch and English. You can also join in on experiments, such as creating music during sound experiments or artistic experiments with self-built robots. The science festival will run from 11:00 – 15:00.
