With vintage, retro, edibles; and more, it’s the first widescale market event since the end of the lockdown

In the before times, Groningen’s Suikerterrein was fast becoming one of the best places in the city for (non high-street) shopping, finding interesting food, and also having your face melted by a wall of woofers.
Now that restrictions are being lifted, more and more reasons to head west out the city and cross the permanent-yet-strangely-temporary bridge to the land of EM2. This weekend the first vintage market of 2021 will be held, the ‘Suikermarkt’, with over 50 stall-holders offering everything from hand-made soap, to brownies and cakes, vintage clothing; furniture, and more!
The market will open at 11:00 on Sunday, July 4, and will close up at 17:00. Entry is 3 euros for adults, kids go free, and the weather reports suggest that we’re in for a (mostly) dry day!
