Now everyone, make sure to sing along….

Translated by Thomas Ansell

As reported in the Groninger Internet Courant, the Grote Markt will become a huge ‘sing-along café’ on Friday.

All Groninger residents are invited to come along and join in singing such ‘crackers’ as Jingle Bells, Santa Baby, and All I want for Christmas (is you).

The event is being organised by VRIJDAG, and will begin at 15:00 on Friday at the ice rink on the Grote Markt. The lyrics to the songs will be pojected onto a huge board, and singers will be accompanied by both the VRIJDAG band, and a group of VRIJDAG singers.

The band is composed of Loes Nuijten (singer), Marcos Moragues (guitar), Bert van Erk (bass); and Wieger Dijkstra (drums).

Entry is, naturally, free.
