If you are an upcoming student in Groningen, one of the biggest events of your university experience starts now. The annual KEI-week, one of the most significant student orientation events every year, is finally here.
From August 14th to August 18th, students both from the Netherlands and abroad will have the chance to meet new classmates during the four-day event packed full of activities.
A week filled with music, sports, and partying
KEI-week not only offers students the chance to meet many new people who are just as anxious to begin their university careers but it ensures that not a single day is wasted.
Participants will learn about the city of Groningen thanks to interactive workshops and different forms of sightseeing as they become acquainted with their new home.
Every single day offers a new way of getting to know the city. Whether it is with the Eat & Greet on Tuesday, the ACLO sports day on Wednesday, or the Open Air Festival on Thursday, the KEI-week promises to cater to everyone involved.
Of course, it would not be a student week without partying. Every single night, the KEI-week hosts a different yet equally as massive event to close out the evening. From the Grand Opening party tonight at Vismarkt to the pub crawl on Wednesday, KEI-week looks to once again highlight Groningen’s diverse nightlife to a new audience.
You can still join!
Although registration for the KEI-week officially closed on the 9th of August, you still have a chance to join this year’s event.
Registration is still possible either through their website or in the Academy Building for today only (August 14th).
Students who will not participate in the KEI-week but wish to join the night festivals can also do so by buying a ticket through the KEI-week website.
