It’s not Lufthansa, and the company hasn’t yet announced routes, but planes could be coming back to Eelde!
The German airline Green Airlines wants to station an aircraft at Groningen Airport Eelde soon, and has leased two Embraer 190 aircraft, with one to go to Eelde. The airline wants to use the aircraft to carry out holiday flights for travel organizations to an as yet unknown series of destinations.
According to Luchtvaartnieuws.nl, the company recently leased two Embraer 190 aircraft, with one of these two planes to be stationed at Eelde. The virtual “green” airline will only handle the tickets and marketing for the flights, with the flights themselves are operated by tour operators, according to OOGTV.
The company does not yet want to reveal where the flights from Eelde are going. Once it is known which travel organisation will carrying out the flights, the destination of the flights will also be announced. Negotiations about this are still ongoing, according to the German aviation start-up.
