151 new Coronavirus cases were confirmed in Friesland between Saturday and Sunday

As reported by the Omrop Fryslân, the hard lockdown and curfew seem to be having an effect in Friesland; with fewer new Coronavirus cases reported over the weekend. Indeed, the 151 new cases is the lowest 24-hour rate since the beginning of December 2020.
The most new infections were reported in the Sneek region (26), the Gemeente De Fryske Marren (21), and Leeuwarden (17). Unfortunately, three people died over the weekend from Coronavirus complications.
Three Frisian residents were admitted to hospital, though, from the Achtkarspelen, Oostellingwerf, and Opsterland gemeentes.
At the same time, a small number of Covidiots came together to demonstrate in Leeuwarden, leading to two arrests. The ‘protest’ was held in front of Leeuwarden’s court house, but was nowhere near the size or the intensity predicted by the city’s Mayor and Police; who had brought in an emergency ordinance to deal with any potential disruptions.
Across the Netherlands as a whole, there were 3,714 new Coronavirus cases recorded: around 500 fewer than the day before.
