The Forum, also known as the ‘living room of Groningen’, will celebrate its fifth anniversary since it first opened its doors with a cracking party on Saturday 30 November, and most of the activities are free.
Since its opening in 2019, the Forum has been the city’s living room, which is why the biggest house party ever will be held on Saturday, from early in the morning until late at night. There will be plenty to do: from a real puzzle competition to the best films, live music, and much more.
The event celebrating 5 years of Forum consists of two parts. From 09:00-18:00, the iconic building will be transformed into a large party location for all ages. Book lovers will have a great time during lectures, interviews and signing sessions with various writers, and Smartlab will open its doors for an extra-large edition full of technology and innovation.
Between 20:00 and midnight, the party lights will be turned on and the music volume will be turned up. Enjoy live performances by cover band Vangrail and the best golden oldies beats by DJ Swoolish. There’s also karaoke in the cinema and a silent disco at NOK.
During the day, the Forum offers a packed programme of activities that do not require an entrance ticket. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the festive atmosphere. You only need to buy a ticket in advance via the website to watch a movie or participate in the puzzle competition. All the activities after 8:00 PM are free to attend, however, a free entrance ticket is required to enter the building. Unfortunately, the tickets are already sold out, but if you couldn’t get a ticket and still want to go, there’s a possibility of getting one through resale on the website or going to the Forum after 21:00, as the refunded tickets will be limitedly available at the door.
People under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
For more information and for resale tickets, check out the Forum’s website.
