Starting in September, City Central in Groningen will launch a new initiative to help recently arrived internationals learn how to cycle confidently and safely.
“We all know that Groningen is a cycling city, but not for everyone”, City Central writes on the project page. The FietsFriend initiative aims to help new residents learn how to bike, get reacquainted with cycling if they already know how and to teach them the rules of the road
Through July 16th, people interested in volunteering to become a “FietsFriend” can sign up via email at City Central, and sign-ups for newcomers who want to take part in the programme will open soon.
