There are even 800 people on the waiting list

When FC Emmen lost their relegation playoff in May (on penalties), Drenthe ceased to have representation in Dutch top-flight football.
The Emmenaars will be hoping to make an immediate jump back into the Eredivisie, but naturally losing their status as a top-flight club has had a financial impact on the club and several first team players have been sold. But good news has come from the club’s erstwhile fans, many of whom have re-signed up for their season tickets- providing stable income for the club over the next season.
Indeed, the fans have got behind FC Emmen to such a degree that there is a waiting list of 800 people, reports RTV Drethe. It is likely, then, that De Oude Meerdijk will be mostly full (Coronavirus-allowing) throughout next season in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
The division kicks off on August 6, with Emmen playing Telstar (from Velsen, Noord-Holland) away at the BUKO stadium. The week after that, Emmen will play at home to FC Eindhoven.
