The Afsluitdijk Wadden Center has launched Aquavista, a new attraction that offers a bird’s eye view of the Wadden Sea and it’s surroundings. Visitors get to experience the beauty of this World Heritage Site through the eyes of a Grutto bird.
The Afsluitdijk Wadden Center was opened in march this year at Kornwerderzand, on the Frisian side of the famous dyke. The remarkable building resembles a foaming wave, breaking on the causeway wall.
The center aims to offer visitors a ‘total familiarisation experience’ of the Unesco World Heritage regions of the Waddenzee, of the unique Vismigratierivier (fish migration river), the IJsselmeer region and last but not least, of the Afsluitdijk causeway itself.
Aquavista
Aquavista, the scenic flight together with preshow, takes about 15 minutes and can be accessed with an Aquavista ticket, available from the counter at €4.50.
