They rose 2.2 percent between April 2018 and April 2019

In April 2019, Drenthe had almost 222,000 jobs. This is 4,750 jobs more than the year before. As reported in the Asser Courant

The latest figures from the annual provincial employment survey show that the growth manifested itself in all sectors, with healthcare, industry and construction as the top-benefiting industries. These sectors saw the number of jobs increase by around 900 jobs, 600 jobs and 500 jobs, respectively. With almost a fifth of the total number of jobs, the care sector is the largest employer in Drenthe.

Differences

There are differences within the province of Drenthe. North Drenthe had the largest growth with 2.6 percent, closely followed by Southwest Drenthe (2.4 percent). Southeast Drenthe is lagging somewhat behind with a growth of 1.5 percent.

In Drenthe, the province and municipalities have an employment survey carried out every year among companies and institutions. The data is used for economic policy.
