No more so than in Friesland, where eight gemeentes confirmed that they recorded no new cases on Sunday. The infection figures have now been officially recorded by the RIVM. However, across the Province as a whole there were 39 new cases, up seven from Saturday. As reported by the Omrop Fryslân.
According to a daily average in Friesland, 57 new infections per day were registered. A week ago the average daily infection total was 89, and the current rate is the lowest since September of last year.
The Gemeente Leeuwarden registered the most confirmed infections, with 11, followed by Noardeast-Fryslân, with 5. The Gemeentes Achtkarspelen, Harlingen, Oostellingwerf; Waadhoeke, and the four Wadden Islands all recorded zero new infections.
There were no new deaths due to the Coronavirus in the Province, nor any hospitalisations. In the entire country there were 1,596 new infections recorded yesterday, last week the daily average was 2,287 per day.
