The rail network in the province of Groningen has a new destination: Eemshaven. Starting on Wednesday, travellers can reach the harbour by train. The train times are based on the ferry timetables for boats heading to the island of Borkum.

Roodeschool used to be the end of the Arriva line in the province, but the rail line has been extended and two new stations have been added: one additional station in Roodeschool and one at the Eemshaven.
Several train services will run to Eemshaven from Groningen Centraal daily: four trains a day during the high season and three times a day during the off season. You can check the train times at www.arriva.nl.
