From summer 2021 on, Edinburgh, Rennes and Glasgow will be easily-reached from Groningen Airport Eelde, with a short transfer at London Southend Airport.

“We are pleased with the expansion of our destinations through the new connections to Edinburgh, Rennes and Glasgow via London Southend. Flybe has ensured that the flights will connect well. Passengers can you travel quickly and comfortably from the North of the Netherlands to these destinations”, said Jonas van Dorp, Head of Aviation Marketing and Development

For seven years, Flybe has been providing a connection from Groningen Airport Eelde to London Southend, a well somewhat quiet airport on the Eastern coast of England.

From London Southend airport a short and fast transfer is possible for flights to Edinburgh, Rennes and Glasgow. The flights can already be booked through Flybe’s website.

In the near future, Flybe will be re-branded to Virgin Connect, following a buy-out of the troubled airline at the end of 2019.
