Between 30 March and 2 April, roughly 20 home were robbed in the city. Most of the break-ins occurred in neighbourhoods in the north east of the city.
The suspect was detained on Saturday after the police received a tip from a citizen. The man was driving a stolen vehicle with fake license plates and was in possession of multiple items which were reported stolen. The police have not confirmed how many of the break-ins the suspect is accused of committing.
The police say that they are in the process of trying to return as many of the stolen items as possible based on the reports filed by the theft victims.
