The man threatened to spit at officers
The man in question, and another 41-year-old man from Groningen, had ended up in a ditch on the Verlaatweg in Ten Boer. He had to be taken out of his car by the police and officers from the fire brigade, reports the Groninger Internet Courant.
Despite having been rescued from his car, he threatened to spit at police officers and ‘infect them with Corona’, according to the police. The police restrained him and put a spit mask on him.
The man was arrested for being a danger and nuisance on the road, drunk driving, threats and attempted abuse. He is currently remanded in custody.
