Those with good ideas could receive a 100,000 euro subsidy
The province of Drenthe wants its holiday parks to be among the top in The Netherlands; which would be good for Drenthe’s reputation as a tourist province. To promote the quality of its holiday parks, the province has made a subsidy available for ambitious entrepreneurs, under the programme ‘Vital Holiday Parks Drenthe’.
‘Vital Holiday Parks Drenthe’ started from 1 July 2020 with the Recreation Excellence Program (REX). A program for ambitious entrepreneurs with the potential to rank among the (inter) national top with their holiday park, reports the Asser Courant.
With the help of the REX program, ambitious entrepreneurs are invited to aim for the (inter) national top within their own sector. To achieve this, Vitale Vakantieparken Drenthe is looking for ambitious entrepreneurs who want to develop themselves further. New entrepreneurs and investors in Drenthe can also participate in the REX program. The subsidy that an entrepreneur can receive for a holiday park amounts to a maximum of € 100,000. A prerequisite is a sound and approved park project plan aimed at quality improvement, innovation and sustainability and a personal contribution of 2/3 of the total investment.
The impact of the Coronavirus outbreak on the Drents tourism industry is enormous, but entrepreneurs have indicated that they also want to continue developing. The development of the REX program started before the crisis and now – more than ever – hopes to be a valuable addition to the measures taken both nationally and regionally.
