Dutch Food Week is a national event, now on its sixth edition
From 10 to 17 October 2020, the province of Drenthe will be showcasing all Drenths foodie things during sixth edition of the national Dutch Food Week (DFW). During Dutch Food Week, the entire food sector takes part in sharing knowledge and showing new developments in the Netherlands that have to do with food.
There are numerous (digital) events in the Province during the week. Daily vlogs will be made in which reporters visit various agro-food companies in the region, whilst an “At the table” webshow has been made, in which special guests update viewers about the latest developments in the field of food in the North.
This question central to Dutch Food Week for this edition is ‘What do we eat and how does it get on my plate?’.
Deputy Henk Jumelet of the province of Drenthe says: “today’s consumers demand fair, regional products. During the Coronavirus outbreak, this demand for local, fresh food has only increased. Drenthe has plenty to offer here and the Dutch Food Week is a great platform to show that.”
